The Hej Coffee Barista School is located at our Elephant & Castle café & roastery. All barista courses take place here:

Do I need to bring anything with me?
Nope… just your good self! Come with a thirst for knowledge and a few good cups of coffee. We’ll provide everything else.
Do I need to wear any specific clothing for the barista courses?
Come casual but please no open toed shoes, flip flops or sandals. Ouch – we are dealing with hot water under pressure!
I’m worried – How difficult are the exams?
Don’t worry. We’ll cover the full curriculum and support you in getting the right knowledge to answer the exams. You should be able to answer everything in the multiple short answer exams.
What size are the classes?

Do you provide accommodation?
No, but you are in heart of Bermondsey and there are plenty of hotels around. For example the Bermondsey Square hotel is approximately 40 paces away (depending on your stride length).
What about a bit of lunch?
The Barista school is just downstairs from our Hej Café HQ in Bermondsey Square. We will provide lunch on all Barista Courses directly from the café. Please let us know if you have any allergies or intolerances and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Ow no – you poor thing! …But seriously – this is not a problem. We hope we can change your mind – especially when you have completed your course and gained a wealth of knowledge about speciality coffee.
